A cup of tea in a cozy corner of room... :)

Sitting in the cozy corner of my room with a cup of hot tea with a heavy book or magazine has always been the best moment… Am a crazy lover of tea.. In short my day doesn’t move without tea..

I was actually wondering what I am supposed to highlight in my blog. What should be that x factor..? Well I guess my blog should be a bit of everything.

Sunset with me with a cup of tea…!!!

Indians are always famous as hosts as they make every small effort to serve their guests.. Drinking tea has almost turned up into a daily ritual. Before marriage I just used to love it because mom prepares tea… And we just have to enjoy every sip of it.. But later on after marriage I started losing my craziness for each sip.. tried different styles of tea.. And now I saw a new relationship building with me and tea.. Now this is my version of masala tea…

Heat 3/4 cup of water + extra for evaporation and 1/4 cup of full cream milk in a small pot on the stove top. Add the cardamom (4-5 pods), fennel seeds (1/4 teaspoon), ginger (a few pinches of ground ginger (or a slice of whole ginger), peppercorns (3 – 4) and cinnamon (1 or 2 sticks). You might like to cover the pot to get it to boil faster but please do keep an eye on it though because it will boil over and it could be a great task of cleaning…

Once the mix begins to boil, add the tea. The longer you boil it the stronger it will be. About 5 minutes or slightly longer is ideal. And rest depends on your taste buds..
Let it sit off the heat for a couple of minutes, and then pour into a cup using a tea-strainer.
Enjoy your masala chai with a book or magazine…as I do… :)

Please do let me know your comments and the varieties…for which I wanna try
